Alan Miller with David Seaman, George Graham and John Lukic

Goalkeeper to Tom Jones Peace Keeper

Like all of us in 2020, Holkham Hall has had its fair share of problems to deal with. Alan and his team have shown imagination in staging virtual food festivals amongst other safe events.

Talking on what the future may hold, the challenges Alan has faced in during the pandemic, and in during his sporting career, we finish up with the saga of the night Tom Jones played at Holkham Hall.

Now there is a cracking story of the perfect storm and how to get through it.

Alan won two league titles, two FA Cups and a Cup Winners Cup medal. Alan Miller had a seventeen-year career in football starting at Arsenal under George Graham.

He went on to work with Brian Robson at Middlesborough, Ray Harford and West Brom before finally being bought by Graham Souness to play at Blackburn Rovers.

In retirement, Alan helped players in an international concierge role before taking a pub in North Norfolk. It was from here he found his true vocation at the home of Lord Leicester, Holkham Hall.

In our Floorbox story, Alan talks about his footballing career and how he has helped Holkham to become one of the most exceptional Stately Homes for people to visit and for promoters to stage events.

We are all in a strange spot with the current Pandemic.

Tom Jones will follow soon, I promise!
